The role
We are looking for an experienced Medior Android Engineer to join our long-term partnership with ICA, one of Scandinavia's largest retail companies.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Sarajevo, with a planned start date in September 2026.
You will join an Agile product team developing new features and maintaining one of ICA's most important customer-facing mobile applications. Working closely with Swedish and Bosnian colleagues, you will contribute throughout the development lifecycle with a strong focus on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Project
You will work on the ICA Retail App, used by millions of ICA loyalty members for shopping lists, store offers, recipes, and member services.
As ICA continues to expand its mobile development initiatives, you will help develop new features, maintain existing functionality, and contribute to delivering a modern, high-quality Android application.
The work includes
- Developing new features for the Android application
- Maintaining and improving existing functionality
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams
- Participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Contributing to continuous improvements throughout the development lifecycle
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of professional Android development experience
- Strong experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Experience with Coroutines, Hilt/Dagger, and the Android SDK
- Experience with MVVM and Android Architecture Components
- Good understanding of Android UI/UX guidelines
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Bitrise)
- Experience building enterprise-level Android applications
- Experience with TDD, CI/CD workflows, and reactive programming using RxJava and Kotlin Flows
- Strong focus on code quality and test coverage
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience working with a mixed Compose and XML codebase
- Kotlin Multiplatform
