The role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Tester to join our long-term partnership with ICA, one of Scandinavia's largest retail companies.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Sarajevo, with a planned start date in August/September 2026.
You will become part of one of ICA's development teams, working in a collaborative DevOps environment where quality assurance is an integral part of the software development lifecycle.
Project
You will work on one of several business-critical applications supporting ICA's core retail operations, including pricing, supply chain, and order management.
Depending on the team, you may work on applications such as:
- OrderMgmt – a SaaS application supporting Pricing and Order Management.
- CPC (Cost Price Calculation) – calculates wholesale prices for products sold in ICA stores.
- ICA SOI – generates Store Orderable Item data and is currently being modernized and migrated from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud.
The work includes:
- Manual and automated testing of business-critical applications
- Building and maintaining automated regression test suites
- Ongoing testing of new features and continuous improvements
- Maintenance and optimization of existing test coverage
- End-to-end responsibility within a DevOps environment
- Active participation throughout development, testing, deployment, and production support
- Collaboration with Swedish colleagues in cross-functional teams
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional testing experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI test automation
- Experience with Postman/Newman for API testing
- Experience testing backend workflows, integrations, staging tables, or ETL-style processes
- Good SQL knowledge and experience validating data using SQL
- Strong understanding of test case design, including positive, negative, and boundary testing
- Experience working on business-critical applications
- Experience working in a DevOps environment with end-to-end ownership
- Proficiency with SQL Developer and Postman
- Good English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with PL/SQL
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Experience using Jira
