The role
We are looking for a Technical Tester to join our long-term partnership with ICA Banken.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Sarajevo, with a planned start date in October/November 2026.
The initial engagement is planned to run until March 2028, with the possibility of extension or continuation on another project within the wider ICA partnership.
You will join a web development team building a new corporate web platform and take an active role in establishing quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.
This role requires strong hands-on web test automation experience, practical experience with Playwright, and active use of AI-assisted tools in software testing.
Project
You will work on a new corporate web platform that builds on the business knowledge and functionality of an existing solution.
The role involves close collaboration with frontend developers, UX designers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders. You will help the team understand the existing platform, define an effective testing approach, and ensure end-to-end quality across the new solution.
You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing, including establishing and maintaining automated regression coverage. A good understanding of backend systems and integrations is important for validating complete customer journeys and system behaviour.
The work includes:
- Setting up and maintaining automated test coverage using Playwright
- Developing and executing automated regression tests
- Planning and performing manual, exploratory, and functional testing
- Creating test plans, test scenarios, and test cases
- Testing complete customer journeys across frontend, backend, and integrations
- Investigating and reporting defects
- Contributing to quality throughout development, testing, and release activities
- Using AI-assisted tools throughout the software testing lifecycle
- Collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden
- Continuously improving test coverage, processes, and overall software quality
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional software testing experience
- Strong hands-on experience testing web applications
- Practical professional experience with Playwright
- Experience establishing, maintaining, and improving automated test suites
- Experience using a programming language for test automation, preferably TypeScript
- Strong understanding of test planning, test design, test execution, and test reporting
- Experience with exploratory, functional, and regression testing
- Good understanding of backend systems and integrations
- Practical experience using AI tools and AI-assisted ways of working throughout the testing lifecycle
- Experience working with GitHub
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Proactive and self-driven approach with a strong sense of ownership
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to understand complex business processes and build domain knowledge
- Fluent English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with API testing
- Practical SQL knowledge
- Experience with CI/CD integration
- Experience with Jira and Azure DevOps
- Experience with BrowserStack or similar platforms
- Experience with C# and RestSharp
- Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner
- Previous experience in banking, financial services, or insurance
- ISTQB Foundation or another relevant testing certification
