Senior data engineer

The role
We are looking for senior data engineers to join our team in Sarajevo. This is a full-time role within our long-term partnership with ICA, one of Scandinavia's biggest brands. Remote work is possible with occasional visits to the Sarajevo office. We are currently looking to fill 3 positions.
Start date: 03/2026
Project
You will design and build a cloud-based data platform on Google Cloud Platform. The work focuses on onboarding data through file-based, API-based, and event-driven pipelines. You'll create domain-specific, reusable analytical data products aligned to data mesh principles.
Qualifications
- Senior-level experience in data engineering
- Strong communication skills in the English language
Required competencies
- Agile

- Data engineering experience with file-based, API-based, and event-driven (Kafka) ingestion patterns
- DBT or similar tools for data transformation and analytical data products
- CI/CD concepts using GitHub and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer) or AWS/Azure
- Analytical data modeling techniques, data mesh concepts
