The role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Automation Tester to join our long-term partnership with ICA, one of Scandinavia's largest retail companies.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Sarajevo, with a planned start date in September 2026.
You will play a key role in building the mobile automation framework from scratch, defining the automation strategy, and establishing best practices for testing across both iOS and Android platforms.
Project
You will join an Agile product team working on the ICA Retail App, used by millions of ICA loyalty members for shopping lists, store offers, recipes, and member services. The role covers manual and automated testing of mobile applications, APIs, backend services, and integrated systems, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality releases and expanding the automated regression test suite.
The work includes
- Designing and implementing the mobile automation framework from scratch
- Building and maintaining automated regression test suites
- Manual and automated testing of mobile applications (iOS & Android)
- API, backend, and database testing
- Planning, executing, and reporting test activities
- Defect management and close collaboration with developers in an Agile team
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of professional software testing experience
- Strong experience with mobile test automation
- Hands-on experience with Appium
- Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and Android)
- Experience testing APIs and backend services
- Good understanding of SQL and database validation
- Experience with automated regression testing
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Playwright (TypeScript)
- BrowserStack or similar platforms
- RestSharp
- CI/CD integration
- Azure DevOps
- Jira
- ISTQB Certification
- Performance testing tools (e.g. LoadRunner)
- Experience using AI in software testing
